Concerns As BioShock Infinite Loses Key Developers
Some sad news as members of the development teams behind BioShock Infinite leave the project. After the original announcement of BioShock Infinite missing its October 2012 deadline, we at Hard Reset have been worried about what would happen to the highly anticipated third instalment in the BioShock series. But now it seems our fears were correct as two top members of the design team; Tim Gerritsen and Nate Wells, both originally responsible for the design of the now iconic Big Daddies, are no longer employed by Irrational Games.
Although there has been no official announcement of their departure by Ken Levine, the head of Irrational Games. Both Wells and Gerritsen updated their Twitter bio’s to read their employment at Irrational Games ending August 2012. Levine hasn’t stepped forward to advise if this will affect the already scheduled release date, but it’s certainly not going to be good news.
We at Hard Reset hope their unfortunate departures will not prevent us from getting our hands on what looks to be the best Bioshock game yet, well, better than Bioshock 2 was anyway.
