Final Fantasy 3 Coming to OUYA!

Well, there has been much talk about the new console that basically encourages people to hack. And now, more news is coming out the wood work but in the form of launch titles! Now, personally, I was under the impression that the console would be released and the titles would mostly indie titles and not many mainstream ones but it seems, I was sorely mistaken. I am only human though, leave me alone! Ahem, Final Fantasy 3 has been announced to be a release title for the OUYA. This is reportedly a partnership between OUYA and Square-Enix; it’s awesome that this is getting support from big name publishers. Now, before I go further, just to update you; OUYA, the console the has many excited but some in the neutral zone, is now sitting at a very comfortable 5.8 million dollars with a cool 8 days left on their kickstarter campaign. So yeah, people are not excited for this console AT ALL, right?

FF3 300x210 Final Fantasy 3 Coming to OUYA!Final Fantasy 3 has seen many re-releases on various consoles; including the 3D graphic update for the Nintendo DS. G4 reports that the Final Fantasy 3 that is allegedly coming to the OUYA is going to be the original one. Now, I don’t know if it will be the 3D Final Fantasy 3 or the original but whatever one it is, one thing can be sure, and that is that “will be updated to exploit Ouya’s high-definition resolution.”

There is no real set-in-stone release date for the console but it is reported that it will start shipping to backers in March 2013.
