Project X Zone Goes Westward Bound
If anyone can remember back to April, you may have heard about a little game called Project X Zone; an oddly titled game featuring 200 characters from 29 different franchises. The best thing about the game was that Sega, Bandai Namco and Capcom were all in on the act, so you could see the likes of Dante, Kazuya and Ulala beating the crap out of Wesker. It sounds excellent, and those who followed the game through production may have got hyped, but also highly dissapointed with the lack of a western confirmation. You can quell your tears and hatred guys, Project X Zone has been confirmed for a western release (UK, NA and Australia), slated for a vague summer 2013 release.
There is a lot to get excited about with this game, with a cast of characters this vast and a weird amalgamation of brawler/RPG gameplay, this could actually end up being a killer app for the 3DS. This also shows a lot of support for us westerners from the big Japanese developers, especially with games like Ni No Kuni and Tales of Xillia on the horizon. Seeing a game like this being localised is definitely a milestone for breaching the gap between releases, so here’s hoping the 3DS community support it’s release when it comes to the actual release.
