Jet Set Radio returns this September!
A while back Sega promised us we’d see an HD release of Jet Set Radio during the summer. Now with the summer wrapping up, Sega tries to make good on that promise by giving us official release dates. We now know that Playstation Plus members get early access to the game on September 11th, while the rest of us can start tagging the streets again just one week later. The game launches to everyone else via PSN on Sept 18th and to Xbox Live and Steam on Sept 19th. However PS Vita owners won’t be seeing the game until October 16.
Whilst the Vita version wont be out for the summer, Sega did manage to get the game on every other major platform in time, so good on ya Sega.
Jet Set Radio comes with a $9.99 price tag on every platform. Along with all the skating and tagging goodness you remember, the game’s original soundtrack is completely intact with a couple of new additions, but I’m more interested in the new online leaderboards and camera system.
Sega are also gearing up to release the game for iOS and Android devices but haven’t set any kind of release date so we can expect that eventually. Sadly no mention of released on Nintendo platforms, who wouldn’t want to play Jet Set Radio in 3D?
