Overall
We could have filled this list with 12 after 12 after 12. WWE, FIFA, Madden, NHL, NBA but we chose to only include game that took a significant step in the right direction. New AI, new physics, new modes; all these games bring something new to the table and not regurgitating the same disc for £40 every october. The nominees for the 2011 Hard Reset Sports Game Of The Year are….

Despite being all about sweatiest of men in the tiniest of pants, WWE 12 is awesome. In an age of yearly franchises, the only way you are going to get a change, along with your money’s worth, is by buying the game that gives you the biggest leap forward. The name change, predator technology, more wrestlers, bigger singleplayer modes and the fact that football almost bores me to tears, WWE 12 is the best sports game this year.

Forza is my favourite racing game, and the 4th one is amazing, the detail of the cars and the tracks is brilliant; the range of cars is impressive and has vehicles from all around the world and from 80 manufacturers. The handling has been improved greatly and is an absolute joy to play.

I don’t like sports so I’ll go with sports entertainment. WWE 12 is the annual outing by THQ and Yukes and my annual love affair with good old fashion wrasslin’. Its 2 steps forward and 1 step back just like every year, but yet I still will fork out my £40 for it.
….And the winner is…..
