When From Software released Dark Souls for consoles last year, they announced that there were not making a PC version. PC gamers did not like that decision and begged the company for one. After a number of months of this begging, From Software relented and announced the PC version. When PC gamers found out about it being on GFWL, they pitched another fit. Another round of begging later and now there is a Steam option. This shocked me to no end. I’ve never been a PC gamer, but the ones I knew would not wast their time begging for the game. They were too busy being superior to console gamers instead of acting superior like modern ones do. Back 15, 20, 25 years ago, a PC gamer asking for a game would be unheard of.
Good day and welcome to the second entry of Hard Reset’s Rumour Round Up. The rumour mill hasn’t let up since the beginning of the year and so there are more things to discuss and analyse, which is good otherwise this article would be pointless. As well as looking at the latest rumours I’ll also update you on any news in regards to rumours from the last entry. Without further ado, let’s begin.
2011 Hard Reset Game Of The Year
2011 was a dry year for the role-playing genre. The games that did get released, however, were true heavy hitters. The action RPG stylings of the rebooted Deus Ex. The huge sequel to Bioware fantasy epic Dragon Age 2. The horribly punishing Dark Souls. Oh, something called Skyrim? I’ve never heard of it either.
