The success of a good game depends on the same things that make a successful movie: the balance between action and story. The old generation Resident Evil was very story driven and included a good balance of puzzle solving and action, and only had cutscenes where necessary. The new generation has less puzzle solving and storyline, but is jam packed with explosions and action sequences. Can Resident Evil 6 restore the balance?
Capcom has announced a new online game mode for Resident Evil 6 giving the players to control the zombies and attack the heroes. The new mutiplayer option is titled Agent Hunt Mode and is a big change for the series.

Here’s a question: What’s the difference between Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider and Resident Evil? Well, a decade or two ago, lots. They were a shadowy stealth-em-up, a vast action explorer and a shambling haunted house simulator respectively, each one pushing the boundaries of gameplay and technology. Watching them at present day E3 however, you’d be hard pressed to tell them apart.
As you know, Microsoft had their E3 press conference today and there were definitely a few nice surprises. For me though, the highlight of the show was our new look at Resident Evil 6. Today the gaming community was given its first look at how Leon’s survival horror gameplay would handle. It’s not quite a return to classic RE form, but it’s certainly more reminiscent of RE: Revelations than RE5.
